Who are Bloxham?
Bloxham, the oldest stockbrokers in Ireland, is an independent investment services provider. The firm provides stock broking and wealth management services for private and institutional clients and specialises in creating unique investment solutions for a broad range of investors and developing innovative strategies for investment professionals.
Divisions within the firm include Institutional Research & Sales, Institutional Bonds, Private Clients, Wealth Management and Corporate Finance. Bloxham is a member of both the Irish and London Stock Exchanges and is regulated by the Financial Regulator under the Stock Exchange Act 1995. Bloxham is headquartered in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Dublin. The firm also has offices in Limerick and Cork.
Bloxham's wealth management division was established in 2002 and has seen its assets grow to over €900 million by June 2011. The Bloxham High Yield Fund (the forerunner to the Elite Bloxham Global Equity Income Fund) accounted for over €800 million of this total, reflecting its excellent performance record. UK investors are now able to take advantage of Bloxham's experience and unique insights through the Elite Bloxham Global Equity Income Fund. This new fund has FSA approval to be launched on April 14th 2008.
About the Lead Fund Manager Pramit Ghose
Pramit has a long and successful record in managing investments and in particular global equity income portfolios which he has been managing for nearly a decade. Since the 1990's he has headed up the investment operations of both Friends First and Hibernian and won a Moneymate Fund Manager of the Year Award in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999. He started his career as a fund manager back in 1986.
Since joining Bloxham in 2002, Pramit has built a very successful business which today manages over €800 million in Global Equity Income Funds as at June 2011. According to Pramit, “Bloxham can take advantage of investment opportunities not available to the bigger managers. We have the flexibility to invest in money-making stock ideas rather than holding stocks simply because they are part of an index and apply active short term trading where appropriate to add value.”
In an environment where global fund managers dominate, Pramit believes that there is an important role for niche managers with a clear investment strategy through which real value can be added.
The Bloxham Investment Team consists of four Fund Managers including Pramit Ghose as Lead Manager, four equity analysts, an experienced in house economist and a systems expert to ensure optimal system efficiency.
